How could Lymphatic Drainage support you?

When illness, surgery or medical treatment disrupts your lymphatic system, fluid can build up in the tissues, leaving areas feeling swollen, tight, heavy or uncomfortable.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage uses gentle movements to guide excess fluid towards functioning lymph vessels and nodes, supporting your body’s natural drainage process. While Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage works through specific reflex points on the feet, offering a calming, non-invasive way to support lymphatic flow.

Lymphatic Drainage treatments can have several benefits, including: reducing swelling; improving your circulation; enhancing your immune function; reducing stress; easing pain; balancing hormones and more.

Lymphatic Drainage can support a range of conditions and symptoms:

✓ Inflammatory Conditions

Gentle support around the symptoms affecting your everyday comfort – tightness, swelling, heaviness etc.

✓ Swelling, Oedema & Lymphoedema Support

Ease the heaviness, tightness and discomfort that can come with swelling.

✓ Rest and Nervous System Support

Calm, rhythmic lymphatic techniques encourage deep relaxation, giving your body and nervous system valuable time to slow down and rest.

✓ Cancer Treatment Recovery

Gentle support for swelling and discomfort after cancer treatment, adapted around sensitive areas, your recovery and your medical team’s advice.

✓ Post-Surgery Recovery

We use Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage before surgery where there's a likelihood of inflammation & Lymphatic Drainage Reflexology during recovery to help ease swelling and discomfort.

What happens during a Lymphatic Drainage treatment?

We'll start by assessing your health
Jo will discuss your health, symptoms and what you would like support with, and then tailor your session accordingly.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage
During a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage very light, slow skin movements help guide excess fluid towards functioning lymph nodes, encouraging the body's natural draining process. Treatment may focus on your upper or lower limbs, or cover the whole body, depending on your needs.

Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage
During RLD, we use carefully sequenced techniques on lymphatic reflex points through the feet to encourage Lymphatic Drainage. Jo trained in 2024 to use Sally Kay’s Reflexology Lymph Drainage approach, this is an evidence and research based, modern method.

Using the RLD method, Jo has supported clients with compromised lymphatics due to mastectomy, oedema and lymphoedema, as well as successfully using the method with IVF clients who suffer with OHSS.

How we've helped clients with Lymphatic Drainage

"I have been having weekly acupuncture with Jo to support me through the weekly chemotherapy that I’m currently undergoing.

We discuss each week what symptoms I’ve been dealing with, and she adjusts the treatment accordingly. So far she has helped to ease stomach issues, stop neuropathy in its tracks, boost my mood and spirit, calmed my overthinking mind, helped with lymphatic drainage and improved my sleep patterns."
